Samsung is releasing its Galaxy S8 Active for preorder tomorrow through AT&T. The company says it’s the “toughest Galaxy smartphone yet,” featuring a rugged design and military-grade screen that makes it shock, shatter, water, and dust resistant. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active will be available on AT&T Next for $28.34 for 30 months, which adds up to around $850.

The device is bound by a metal frame and a bumper to shield it from shocks, while the back cover “has a rugged, tough texture for a secure grip.” The phone also features Bixby — with the voice assistant’s home screen including quick access to a stopwatch, barometer, compass, and flashlight. The screen is a 5.8-inch quad HD super AMOLED display with a 18.5:9 aspect ratio, but unfortunately — no infinity edge.

“Our new Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is designed with tested durability and strength to address the needs of consumers who need a more rugged device for their lifestyle,” said Tim Baxter, president and CEO of Samsung Electronics North America, in a statement. AT&T accidentally confirmed the S8 Active’s existence yesterday, while photos of the device were also leaked on Reddit last month.

The device will come in Meteor Gray or Titanium Gold, and will be available in-store from August 11. Buyers will be eligible for a range of deals including credit towards another Galaxy smartphone as well as discounts on Samsung Gear devices. Samsung says the Galaxy S8 Active will be exclusive to AT&T “for a limited time.” That opens the door to it coming to other carriers soon, which would be a first for the Active line.
