A new ARK Survival Evolved update is set to be released for Xbox One and it means good news for PS4 players.
Having launched an earlier patch on the Microsoft platform, Studio Wildcard found that it included a memory loss issue that caused some major problems.
This has since been given a temporary fix, with another update launching today to help solve the issue of low-visual dinos.
And Wildcard have now confirmed that the new ARK Survival Evolved download should arrive around 3pm, BST.
The new launch should mean that the update will be ported over to the PS4 version pretty quickly, allowing for PlayStation players to avoid the earlier memory glitch.
PS4 version of the game has not been updated for sometime, leading Wildcard community managers to releasing this statement on Twitter.
“Yes, we are still supporting PlayStation, but as we’ve mentioned quite a lot, we’re working on the disc submission at the moment.
“Once we finalise this Xbox build, we will then be able to port it to PS4.
“I know you guys are excited to get the updates, but you’ll have to wait a little longer. You will receive the latest version when it comes.”
While the new ARK Survival Evolved patch on Xbox One will include a number of bug fixes, it will not add the new ARK Ragnarok mod map.
This full conversion has a scheduled release of July 19, and currently has a positive review-score on Steam.
“Journey through an expansive 144 sq. kilometer environment where elements from The Island, Scorched Earth, and all new biomes are combined to bring the ultimate survivor experience,” the official mod description reads.
“Whether tackling the extreme cold atop the highest mountains, harvesting resources from an active volcano, or just searching for that perfect base location, Ragnarok plays host to explorers and base builders alike.
“But survivors beware, Ragnarok houses such creatures as Polar Bears, Ice Wyverns, and a mystical creature many have yet to tame in the ARK universe.
“Ragnarok boasts many unique features such as: custom explorer notes, challenging dungeons, dungeon bosses, active hot springs, unique pickup-able/harvestable resources, new biomes, an active volcano, unique tree platform locations, environmental traps, unique ruins, and so much more combined with a beautiful world to explore.”
